About Us

Corporate Profile

Suria Capital Holdings Berhad (Suria) is a leading investment holding and property development company. Together with our subsidiaries, collectively known as SuriaGroup, we provide synergistic services in Port Operations, Logistics & Bunkering, Property Development, Seaport Passenger Gateway, and Construction.

Our primary focus is on the efficient and reliable delivery of port services, executed through our subsidiary, Sabah Ports Sdn Bhd, which manages eight strategically located ports across Sabah, namely Sapangar Bay Container Port, Sapangar Bay Oil Terminal, Kota Kinabalu Port, Kudat Port, Sandakan Port, Tawau Port, Lahad Datu Port and Kunak Port. Sapangar Bay Container Port (SBCP) serves as a key facility managed in partnership with global operator DP World through joint venture company, DPW Sabah Sdn. Bhd.

Our long-term vision is to develop and promote our ports as strategic gateways for regional and global connectivity, particularly within the Brunei Darussalam–Indonesia–Malaysia–Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) region.

The Group has further diversified its business into property development to capitalize on the value of its land assets located within the prime area of Kota Kinabalu city. Suria has embarked on two landmark property development projects, Jesselton Quay (JQ) and Jesselton Docklands Development, set to redefine waterfront living in the state.

The Jesselton Quay development is poised to transform the cityscape through its vibrant waterfront-focused development. JQ Central, the first phase of Jesselton Quay, has been completed and is thriving as a lively tourist hub. Suria Capital has further forged two joint venture agreements with BEDI Development to develop 2.534 hectares (Land 1) and 11.69 hectares (Land 2) at Kota Kinabalu Port, known as Jesselton Docklands Development. Designed as an integrated tourism-focused area, development on Land 1 is expected to commence in 2025, featuring various commercial buildings with an estimated development period of six years.

Together with the Sabah International Convention Centre and Kota Kinabalu Convention City, these projects will collectively form Jesselton Waterfront City, envisioned to emerge as a new focal point for Sabah and a premier waterfront destination for the region. The proposed mixed-commercial development will also include the redevelopment of a dedicated international cruise terminal and a ferry terminal in the vicinity.
