Property Development Jesselton Quay

Suria Capital has diversified into property development to unlock the full potential of its waterfront land assets in the bustling Central Business District. A joint development with SBC Corporations Berhad, Suria is undertaking the Jesselton Quay (JQ) development, complementing neighbouring projects such as the Sabah International Convention Centre and Kota Kinabalu Convention City.

JQ Central, the first phase of the 16.25 acres development was completed in 2022 and features two commercial suite towers, including CityPads and iTower, a recreational club, a commercial gallery with shoppes, and Suria’s corporate office.

The eagerly anticipated second phase, scheduled to commence in 2024, will introduce a hospitality tower, low-rise heritage shoppes, and high-end residences.

Adjacent to JQ, Suria also possesses two parcels of land measuring 7.0 and 28.9 acres, further enhancing the potential for future developments.

Embarking on a strategic initiative to enhance tourism and stimulate economic growth, future development plans include the construction of an International Cruise Terminal (ICT).

The ICT is poised to play a pivotal role in transforming the city’s waterfront landscape, in conjunction with the surrounding waterfront developments, such as Jesselton Quay, Sabah International Convention Centre, and Kota Kinabalu Convention Centre. These collective initiatives, known as Jesselton Waterfront City (JWC), are set to propel the city’s tourism potential and contribute significantly to the State’s economic vibrancy.
